SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--In response to the recent announcement that City College of San Francisco (CCSF) will be cancelling summer sessions and impacting thousands, Golden Gate University (GGU), located in downtown San Francisco with an online university, is offering easy transitioning options for students left without a means to complete their degree.
“While cutbacks have effected public institutions, private universities are a viable option for students in limbo, and who are so close to achieving their higher education goals”
“The domino effect of the budget crisis has now hit home in the most significant way for higher education in California,” says Dan Angel, President of GGU. “The issue facing students now is where to turn for affordable options.”
In response, Golden Gate University is announcing there will be no enrollment cap for any of the programs, which also extends to the CyberCampus, GGU's online university. In addition, the school has increased the number of enrollment counselors trained to handle the specific issues facing undergraduate and graduate students affected by cuts from the University of California, California State Universities, and California Community Colleges.
“While cutbacks have effected public institutions, private universities are a viable option for students in limbo, and who are so close to achieving their higher education goals,” says Angel. “GGU is now poised to help them complete their degree with as little bureaucratic red tape as possible.”
At $560 per unit, GGU's regular tuition costs matches the discounted rate of other Bay Area institutions. Paired with scholarships and financial aid, GGU is one of the most affordable and convenient options available for undergraduate and graduate degrees across the country.
